Obituary

Exio Torrales, age 82 of Vineland, passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2026 in Cooper Medical Center, Camden.

Exio was born in Morovis, Puerto Rico to the late Fundador and Antonia (Lauriano) Torrales and lived in Vineland most of his life. Prior to retirement, he was a self-employed Taxi driver for many years. Exio enjoyed playing dominoes, shooting pool and playing bingo. He loved gardening. Exio attended the Adult Day Care Center of Vineland.

Exio Torrales Laureano was a hardworking, caring man who was endlessly respectful, and endlessly respected by the people who loved him; the people who had the honor of knowing him. He was consistently loyal and loving to his family, to his nieces and nephews who he never hesitated to treat as his own. From when they were toddlers, to the adults they’ve grown into, he was there every step of the way. He was a teacher and a father figure, sharing his wisdom to light their paths, and sticking up for them when they needed it. Throughout his life he taught many lessons. With Exio’s guidance, his beloved sobrinos learned how to drive a car, how to be respectful and polite, how to have manners, and most importantly, how to be loved. With him in their lives, that was a lesson they could never forget.

He also loved to have fun playing dominos, bingo, and playing pool. He had a green thumb constantly tending to his vegetables growing tomatoes peppers and cilantro. He had a talent for fixing anything from bicycles, mechanical equipment, fixing tiles or construction. He had a love for staying busy and relaxing with his favorite music singing to his sweet dog, Lovi who he loved so much.
