Rev. Felix Mendoza Boria, age 91 of Vineland, peacefully went to be with the Lord on February 17, 2016 at his home in Vineland, NJ, surrounded by his family.

He was born on October 1, 1924 in Humacao, Puerto Rico to Alberto Mendoza Rodriguez and Altagracia Boria Mundo.  He served in the National Guard as a Staff Sergeant from 1948 to 1954.  Felix also served as Senior Pastor to the Pentecostal Church Fountain of Life in Vineland, NJ for 22 years and previously at the Iglesia Cristiana Peniel for 2 years in Brooklyn, NY. Additionally, he was a previous member of the Alfa & Omega Church Federation, where he held several positions, including Vice-President and Treasurer, as well as teacher at their Bible Institute.

On July 14, 1947, he married the love of his life, Maria F. Acosta Cuadrado de Mendoza.  They have lived happily together for 68 years and created a beautiful family that began with 8 children and led to 19 grandchildren and 17 great-children.

He is survived by his wife, Maria Acosta de Mendoza, his children:  Jaime R. & Gladys Mendoza, Mildred Mendoza Palow, Gladys Cardona Mendoza, Israel & Evelyn Mendoza, Deborah & Rev. Roberto Gonzalez, Rebecca and Brian Loatman, Maria & Milton Mendoza-Perkins and Alexander & Christina Mendoza; and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is predeceased by his parents, his children; Maria Judith Mendoza, Rosa Maria Mendoza-Ortiz and Elias Mendoza, and by his grandchildren; Roberto Daniel Gonzalez & Gabrielle Loatman

Rev. Mendoza will be especially remembered for the legacy he created in his Christian community as a long-lasting and dedicated leader, but also for his strength and tenacity, quick wit, and the ability to make people laugh.

The funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Tues. Feb.23rd at the Chestnut Assembly of God Church, 2554 E. Chestnut Ave. Vineland.  Interment will follow in Siloam Cemetery.  Family and friends will be received on Monday evening from 7:00 – 9:00 pm at the Church and on Tuesday from 9:00 – 10:00 am.
