March 15, 1936 – January 19, 2024
Fermin Roman-Borrero, age 87, of Vineland passed away on Friday, January 19, 2024 at Inspira Medical Center, Vineland, surrounded by loved ones. Fermin was born in Utuado, Puerto Rico to the late Jose and Carmen (Borrero) Roman and lived in Vineland most of his life.
He worked as a landscaper with Green Lawn Sprinkler Systems until his retirement. He was a jokester who loved laughing and entertaining his family. Fermin also enjoyed dominos, listening to records, original Puerto Rican music and picking up his own guitar & accordion during family gatherings and playing along with his brothers.
He is predeceased by his siblings, Maria Roman, Carmen Roman, Blanca Roman, Benjamin Roman and Manuel Roman.
Fermin is survived by his loving wife of over 70 years, Maria (Tita) Roman. His brother Miguel Velez and wife Daisy, and his brother Ramon Velez Borrero. His two sisters Ada Velez and Olga Velez. His three sons, Edwin Roman and his wife Ivy, Elvin Roman and his wife Dolly and Joe Roman and his wife JoAnn along with his adopted daughter Iraida Rivera. Fermin is survived by 6 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 24th at 11:00 AM from the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home 1024 E. Landis Ave. Vineland. Burial will follow in Siloam Cemetery, Vineland.
Family and friends may gather from 10:00-11:00 AM at the funeral home, prior to the service.
Arrangements are by the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home, Vineland.
