Fernando Alvaladejo, age 72 of Vineland, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at home, surrounded by his loving family. Fernando was born in Vega Alta, Puerto Rico to the late Miguel and Rita (Mendez) Albaladejo. He was a resident of Vineland most of his life. Prior to retirement, Fernando was employed by the City of Vineland, Municipal Electric Company for 40 years. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, traveling and sharing time with his family and friends. Especially with his grandchildren. Fernando is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Alicia (Martinez) Alvaladejo of Vineland. His son, Fernando Alvaladejo Jr. of Paulsboro, NJ and his 4 daughters; Joanna Alvaladejo of Vega Alta, P.R., Blanca Gonzales and husband Ken of Las Vegas, NV, Betsy Perez of Howard Beach, Queens, NY and Lismary "Mari" Alvaladejo of Vineland. Fernando is also survived by 5 grandchildren and his brother, Horacio Alvaladejo of Vega Alta, P.R. A Funeral Liturgy will be held on Monday, July 21st at 11:00 am at the Divine Mercy Parish, 23 W. Chestnut Ave. Vineland. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. The viewing will be on Sunday evening from 7:00 - 9:00 pm at the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home, 1024 E.
