Francis William Sliwinski, age 93 of Ocala, Florida (formerly of Vineland) passed away on March 22, 2024 in Ocala, Florida where he resided with his loving wife of 68 years.

Francis was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the late Joseph and Anna (McCullum) Sliwinski. Francis served in the US Army during the Korean War and was a very proud veteran.

Prior to retirement, he worked for Owens-Illinois Glass Co. of Vineland for 42 years, he also was a part-time employee of Swanson Hardware Store where he loved to converse with his customers and co-workers, and it never mattered how hard he worked he always made time to play Double Dutch with his children.

Francis enjoyed time with his family and friends, he also liked dancing, card games, swimming, grooming his yard and home, and was a great handyman. And through all that he endured in life he always had a smile for everyone.

He was predeceased by his parents, 5 siblings and his son, Bruce Steven Sliwinski.

Francis will be sadly missed by the love of his life, wife Betty Lou (Rubart) Sliwinski and his children, Holly Delaney and her husband Kevin of Magnolia, TX., Cindy Casazza and her husband Patrick of Vineland and Penny Westergren and her husband Randolph Sr. of Marydel, DE. Also 8 grandchildren, Christina, Shana, Patrick, Randolph Jr., Ashley, Nicole, Erin and Amanda, along with 12 great-grandchildren.

Graveside inurnment services will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at 11:00 AM from Siloam Cemetery, 550 N. Valley Ave. Vineland, with Rev. Karen W. Bernhardt officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Diabetes Foundation or your local VA Association.
