Fredrick G. "Pop-Pop" Mensing, age 70 of Bridgeton, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at Inspira Medical Center, Vineland.

Fredrick was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and was a resident of Bridgeton for many years. Prior to his retirement, he worked in construction and also as a slot technician with Tropicana Casino in Atlantic City, NJ. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather with many hobbies, most especially hunting and fishing. Fredrick loved Nascar and watching the tv show survivor with his wife Mary. Pop-pop enjoyed flying R.C. planes and helicopters, working outdoors and cherished every minute spent with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, while teaching them new things.

Fredrick is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 38 years, Mary (Peterson) Mensing.  His mother, Ellen Ball and by his 5 children; Ronnie Peterson and his wife Kathy, Elizabeth Peterson, Tracy Mensing, Ruth Ortiz and her husband Raul Ortiz Sr. and Joann Mensing. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, with more on the way, and by his 3 sisters; Angel Ball, Pennie Tharp and Tammie Blickos.  Who all love him greatly and will remember him always in their hearts.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 15 ^th at 11:00 am at the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home, Vineland.  Interment will follow in Laurel Lawn Cemetery, Bridgeton.  Family and friends will be received from 10:00 – 11:00 am, prior to the service.
