George W. Coleman, of Vineland, died on Sunday April 22, 2012 at the age of 94 after a brief illness, at the Maurice House, Millville, NJ. Born in New York City to the late Hilda (Moore) and George W. Coleman, he was a resident of Vineland since 1932. George graduated from Vineland High School in 1935 and from Peirce Business Junior College in 1938 with an Associate in Accounting. George worked at the Vineland Egg Auction for 32 years, until the demise of the poultry industry, as an Accountant and Office Manager. He later retired from Dun-Rite Sand and Gravel Company in 1981. He was an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Vineland, where he served as an Usher for many years. George was also a volunteer worker in the Food Bank of the Church. George's many enjoyments through the years were golf, bowling, tennis, softball, football, billiards, cards, dancing and photography. George is survived by his sister-in-law, Ruth Russell of Millville, and by many wonderful friends. He was predeceased by his wife, Sigrid(Lunder) Coleman in 1986, his brother-in-law Howard Russell in 2007 and by his mother Hilda(Moore) Rosier in 1976. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, April 26, 2012 at the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home, 1024 E. Landis Ave. Vineland, with Rev. Jeanette Block officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Millville. The viewing will begin 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
