George Parnell Glenn Jr. MD, age 85 of Millville (formerly of Vineland) went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 3rd in University of Pennsylvania Medical Center, Phila. George was born in Philadelphia to the late George P. and Delores (Conner) Glenn Sr. and lived in Vineland most of his life before moving to Millville. He was in the United States Naval V-5 Program serving during WW2. George graduated from Germantown Academy, the University of Pennsylvania, followed by medical school at Hahnemann University. George was Past-Pres. Of Philadelphia Orthopedic Society, Historian and Officer of Eastern Orthopedic Society and former Chief of Orthopedic Surgery at Newcomb Medical Center and Millville Hospital. He was past Commodore of Ocean City Yacht Club. He enjoyed target pistol shooting. George was predeceased by his wife Lillian L. Glenn in 2012. Survivors include his two sons, George P. Glenn III of Vineland and James B. Glenn of Millville. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Jan. 8th at 11:00 AM from the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home 1024 E. Landis Ave. Vineland. Burial will follow in Siloam Cemetery, Vineland. Visitation hours are Monday 6:00-9:00 PM and again on Tues. 10:00-11:00 AM at the funeral home.
