George Steven Mozitis, “Steve,” age 88, of Minotola, NJ, formerly of Brotmanville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 16, 2026, at Inspira Medical Center in Vineland.
Born in Vineland, NJ, Steve was the son of the late Albert and Dorothy (Creamer) Mozitis. He was a lifelong resident of the area and made his home in Brotmanville for most of his life.
Steve proudly served his country in the United States Army as a Military Police Officer in Germany for three years. Following his military service, he was a dedicated member of Local #399 Iron Workers Union of Camden. He was also a member of Buena Vista American Legion Post 270 in Minotola.
Steve was known for his love of golf and his exercise bike. He often joked that keeping in shape allowed him to enjoy all the ice cream he wanted. Above all, Steve treasured the time he spent with his family and the memories they made together.
He was predeceased by his brother, Albert Mozitis; his sisters, June Basile (Fred) and Grace Robertson; and his sister-in-law, Janet Mozitis.
Steve will be deeply missed by his loving daughters, Karla Mozitis of Lahaina, HI, and Vanessa Panagiotopoulos (Frank) of Vineland; his four beloved grandchildren, Ariana Geisser (Cody) of Vineland, Darius Panagiotopoulos (Tiffani) of Sebring, FL, Yiorgos Panagiotopoulos (Addison) of Winter Park, FL, and Andreas Panagiotopoulos of Vineland; four great-grandchildren, with another great-grandchild on the way; and his brother, Martin Mozitis of Shamong, NJ. He will also be remembered fondly by extended family and many friends whose lives he touched throughout the years.
Steve’s family will remember him for his strength, sense of humor, love of family, and the many simple moments that made his life meaningful. His memory will live on through the generations of family he leaves behind and the love they shared.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 20, at 2:00 p.m. at Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home, 1024 E. Landis Ave., Vineland, with Rev. Zachary Herbster officiating. Family and friends may gather from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m.
