Geraldine "Jerrie" J. Nordberg, age 75 of Clermont, Florida (formerly of Vineland) went home to be with her family in Heaven on Sunday, August 13, 2017 surrounded by her loving family at her granddaughter's home in Vineland.

Jerrie was born in Camden, NJ to the late Thomas A. and Caroline (Buchser) Moritz and lived in Vineland for most of her life before moving to Florida.  Jerrie was a former member of the Newfield Methodist Church where she volunteered her time as a youth counselor and a Bible study consultant.  She was someone who always helped others in need with a smile in her heart.  Jerrie enjoyed every moment shared with her family, especially with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Jerrie was predeceased by her daughter Gail Ledden, her grandson Jon O. Nordberg Jr. and by her brother Tom "Sharky" Moritz.

Jerrie is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Jon A. Nordberg of Clermont, Fl.  Her son Jon O. Nordberg Sr. of Vineland and by her 3 grandchildren; Krystal Butenewicz and husband David of Vineland, Alyssa Johnson of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Mandie Nordberg of Pine Hill, NJ.  She is also survived by her son-in-law Andrew Ledden of Vineland, 4 great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 17th at 7:00 pm with Rev. David Edgar officiating at the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home, 1024 E. Landis Ave. Vineland.  Family and friends may gather from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at the funeral home.  Interment will be private.
