Geraldine(Jerie)Scarpa, 92, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2025 at Genesis in Millville. Geraldine was born on June 5th,  1933 to the late Louise Taylor of Vineland.  Geraldine was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Sheree Coccaro, and by her siblings, Richard Brown, John Brown and Tom Brown. She was also preceded in death by her life partner, Elmer Brown, whom she cherished for over 55 years.  She is now reunited in Heaven with those she loved very dearly.

Geraldine worked at Bellco Glass in Vineland,  but soon took on the role of devoted partner and loving mother. Geraldine loved spending time with her family, and showed this by pouring her love into her cooking and sharing it with anyone around. Sunday family dinners were a large part of her joy, as well has having the entire family gather in her home for Christmas Eve. Geraldine became the mother to a blended family and she spent three generations teaching her family that family isn't defined by blood, but by love. She loved all of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren fiercely and fully.

She spent many hours being involved in the Catholic church and having her grandchildren involved in church activities as well. She loved supporting all of her grandchildren in their sporting events. She adored listening to her son-in-law and grandson singing live Blue Grass music. She would cry tears of pride and joy with any of her children or grandchildren's accomplishments in life, and she always admired the beauty that life had to offer.

She leaves to cherish her memories; her daughter Carrie (Darrell) Dalton of Millville, her son-in-law Pete Coccaro, stepson Elmer Brown of Millville and stepson Russell (MaryAnn) Brown of Millville, and step-daughter Debbie (Ted) Ryan of Maine.  Geraldine has six grandchildren, Darrell (Crystal) Dalton, Karli Dalton, Peter Coccaro, Kaelin Coccaro, Lauren (Mark) Brown, and Zachary Brown. Geraldine also has seven beautiful great grandchildren; Kylie Dalton, Chase Dalton, Bristol Dalton, Ryder Doka, Cole Ingraldi, Angelina Coccaro, and Peter Coccaro. She also leaves her two cherished friends Lil Shari Nichols and Joyce Copeland.  Geraldine will forever be loved by those she left behind.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, July 28th at 6:00 pm, with Pastor Frank Hudson officiating, at the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home, 1024 E. Landis Ave. Vineland. Family and friends may gather from 5:00 - 7:00 pm to pay their respects and celebrate the life of Jerie. Interment will be private.
