IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Glendora "Glennie"
B. Harris
September 28, 1958 – September 17, 2023
Glendora "Glennie" Bertha Harris, 64, passed away at home surrounded by her family after her long and tough battle with cancer. She was a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who left this world with her characteristic wit and humor intact. She found happiness in the simple pleasures, laughter, and the love of family.
Glennie's greatest accomplishments in life range from receiving her High School Diploma through hard work and determination and achieving her favorite title of all as "Grandmom." Her spirit for life was boundless, as she constantly enriched her mind with the challenges of crosswords and the enthralling plots of General Hospital. She also loved a good game of pool where she would often be called a "pool shark." She even found a way to appreciate life's subtle complexities with a touch of Mary Jane, which often led to laughter-filled evenings and unforgettable stories. Her religious faith was as unique as she was—filled with unwavering belief without a denomination.
She leaves behind her loving daughters, Tennille Limbaugh (James), Nicole Phillips (Gavin), her grandkids—Maddy, Ethan, Giovanna, Za'Maya, Rowan, and Ender, her siblings Marie Harris, Sophie Stites (Kevin), Herbert Harris (Dorothy), Bruce Harris (Marisol) and Darlene Confer (Joe) and many nieces, nephews and family.
She is predeceased by her beloved mother, Lois Harris, her father Herbert Harris, her sister Loisann Thune, her brother Eddie Harris, and her Aunt Marie Steelman.
She has had a positive impact on everyone she has ever known and she will be missed dearly.
A celebration of Glennie's beautiful life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to NJ Health Hospice and Palliative Care.
