Gloria Garcia Torres, age 67 of Brooklyn, NY, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 in Inspira Hospice Center, Bridgeton. Gloria was born in Atillo, Puerto Rico to Carmen (Romero) and the late Rev. Ramon Atiles Jr. She was a lifelong resident of Brooklyn, a homemaker and an avid NY Yankees fan, she enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. Gloria was predeceased by her first husband, Angel Garcia Sr. in 1975. Gloria is survived by her husband of 13 years, Gilberto Torres of Brooklyn. Her son, Angel Garcia and wife Sol, of Vineland. 3 daughters; Damaries Jimenez and husband Juan of Vineland, Yvonne Garcia of Boynton Beach, FL. and Lillian Altreche and husband Richard of Vineland. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 4 sisters, 3 brothers, many nieces, nephews and cousins, and by her mother, Carmen Atiles, of Vineland. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 5th at 10:00 am at the Rock of Salvation Church, 513 Grape St. Vineland, with Rev. Benjamin Ocasio, Gloria's brother-in-law, officiating. Burial will follow in Siloam Cemetery. Family and friends may gather on Friday from 7:00 - 9:00 pm at the Church and again on Saturday from 9:00 - 10:00 am at the Church.
