Gonzalo Gonzalez Sr., age 76 of Vineland, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at SJ Extended Care, Bridgeton.

Gonzalo was born in Jayuya, Puerto Rico to the late Lucy and Jose Serrano Gonzalez.  Prior to retirement, he worked at Progresso Foods in Vineland and also as a truck driver.  Gonzalo was an avid sports fan of WWF wrestling and enjoyed music, playing dominoes and fixing things.  Above all, Gonzalo loved to share time with his family and friends.

Gonzalo is survived by the mother of his children, Sonia Cardona, his five children; Migdalia Gonzalez and husband Ramon, Eremias Gonzalez, Abel Gonzalez, Nancy Gonzalez and Brian and Gonzalo Gonzalez Jr. and wife Patricia.  He is also survived by his 17 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, his siblings and his former wife Migdalia Perez.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, Feb. 22 nd at 10:30 am at the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home, 1024 E. Landis Ave. Vineland.  Entombment will follow in Hollywood Cemetery, Union, NJ.  Family and friends may gather from 9:00 – 10:30 am on Monday, at the funeral home.
