Kowalski

Grace J. Kowalski passed away on August 14, 2022 at the Inspira Medical Center in Vineland, NJ. She was born in Woodbridge, NJ on October 7, 1936 to Julius and Grace Palfi (nee Toka).
Grace grew up and attended Woodbridge, NJ High School and worked at Prudential Insurance Company in Newark, NJ. In 1959, she met and married her husband, Francis V. Kowalski. Francis pre-deceased her in 2002. They were happily married for 43 years.
While her husband was in the US Army, she lived in Fort Monmouth, NJ and Fort Benning, GA where her first child was born. Subsequently, she moved to Somers Point, NJ and then to Northfield, NJ where her second son was born prior to moving to Phoenix, AZ and finally settling in Vineland, NJ.
Grace loved children, animals and had a very quick wit and sense of humor. She also loved traveling the world, boating, fishing, football and baseball and was a huge fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies. She worked for 20 years in retail sales at Rovners Department store located in Vineland, NJ and the Dress Shoppe in Millville, NJ. In addition to her work, Grace volunteered for many years at the Vineland Food Bank providing food for the less fortunate. Grace was also a member of the Red Hats. Overall, Grace instilled an energetic hard work ethic, sense of humor and a love of nature to all of her family.
Grace is survived by her two sons; Kevin, and Keith and wife Deborah Heuckeroth, three grandchildren; Kyle and partner Erica, Jules and Victor; and four great-grandchildren Matthew, Kayden, Kassandra, and Karter. Grace is also survived by her sister Anne Pochek of North Carolina and brother Joseph Palfi of Delaware and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to the South Jersey Regional Animal Shelter (IMO Donations – SOUTH JERSEY REGIONAL ANIMAL SHELTER) or the Marine Mammal Stranding Center (Ways to Donate (mmsc.org)).
