Henry Richard Hansen, age 91 of Vineland, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 12, 2023 in Inspira Medical Center, Vineland.

Henry was born in Teaneck, NJ to the late Robert and Agatha (Vogel) Hansen and was a resident of Vineland for most of his life. He was a graduate of Leonia High School with the Class of 1949, and a graduate with honors from the University of Connecticut at Storrs in 1953, where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Dairy Animal Husbandry.

In the early 1960s Henry settled in Vineland, NJ and began to build his business, Hansen's Mobile Homes and Sales, which he operated with his wife until the late 1990s. He was an active member of the Vineland Rotary Club for 58 years. Henry served as the Rotary Club President in 1978/79 and was the recipient of multiple Paul Harris Fellow awards. Since 1994 he chaired the Pedals for Progress program within the Rotary Club and has overseen the collection of thousands of bicycles and sewing machines to be sent to developing countries throughout the world. Henry was also very active in the Boy Scouts since his childhood through his adult life. Along with his wife Kathleen, Henry founded the Scouting Memorabilia Museum in 2018 and in 2021 he earned the Boy Scouts Lifetime Achievement Award.

He was predeceased by his wife Kathleen Arlie (Bassett) Hansen, his sister Nancy A. Lippner and by his brother Robert C. Hansen.

Henry is survived by his loving children; Katherine Hansen (John Haas) of Millville and Robert Hansen (Rhonda) of San Jose, CA. His 4 grandchildren; Benjamin (Dawn), Duane (Kristina) Nicole and Rachel and 3 great-grandchildren; Trista, Brightin and Henry. Henry is also survived by his devoted partner Ingrid Brunz of Vineland along with many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, Aug. 19th at 11:00 am at the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home, 1024 E. Landis Ave. Vineland, with Pastor Heather Sugden officiating. Interment will follow in Siloam Cemetery, Vineland. Family and friends may gather on Saturday from 9:00-11:00 am at the funeral home.
