The Rev. Higinio Centeno Pimentel, age 94 of Vineland, has gone to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on January 11, 1923,  in Naguabo, PR to the late Isabelo and Maria (Pimentel) Centeno,  where he was a well-respected evangelist, missionary, Pastor and founder of many churches.  For the last 30 years, he was a resident of the City of Vineland, NJ where he pastored at the First Christian Missionary Church of Vineland for over 20 years.

Rev. Higinio is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years and also a Reverend, Lydia M. Centeno Paz. Six daughters; Matilde, Juanita, Leida, Maria, Deborah and Ana. He is also survived by his sister Josefa as well as grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.

Rev. Higinio was preceded to heaven by his son Wilfredo.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, Feb. 3 ^rd at 11:00 am at the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home, 1024 E. Landis Ave. Vineland.  Interment will follow in Siloam Cemetery.  Family and friend may gather from 10:00 – 11:00 am at the funeral home.
