It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Hilda Rios.

On September 2, 2023, Hilda Rios went peacefully to join our lord and savior, surrounded by her family and loved ones by her side.

Born in Puerto Rico, she lived in the borough of the Bronx in NYC.  In the late 1970's Hilda moved to Vineland, to live close to family members and was a resident of Vineland for over 40 years. She worked at the Tropicana Hotel in Atlantic City until her retirement. Hilda was a resident at Walnut Manor Apartments, Spring Garden Senior Apartments, and Lincoln Specialty Care.

Hilda was a friend to all who met her. She was a caring, giving person. For those who had the pleasure of meeting her, and visited with her, she would not let you leave unless you accepted a small gift from her. It was Hilda's way of showing how much she appreciated all who visited her.

Hilda is survived by her 2 loving children; Daughter, Lillian Alicea (nee Medina) and her son in-law Edwin Alicea Sr. of Vineland NJ and by her son, Raymond Rodriguez of Philadelphia PA. She shared her life with a very large family, consisting of five brothers and sisters, a son and daughter, several nephews and nieces, two grandsons, and three great-daughters.

She was predeceased by her mother and father, two sisters and two brothers.

The funeral service will be held on Monday September 11th at 11:00 am at the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home, 1024 E. Landis Ave. Vineland. Family and friends may gather from 10:00-11:00 am, prior to the service. Hilda will be laid to rest on Friday at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland.
