Inge I. Lutter, age 83 of Vineland, NJ, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, with her loving husband of 63 years, Horst, by her side.
Born on September 1, 1942, in Ludwigstal, Germany, Inge immigrated to the United States with her family in 1952, first settling in Del Rio, Texas, before moving to Seabrook, NJ in 1954. She was a proud 1961 graduate of Bridgeton High School.
Following graduation, Inge began her career at Equitable Insurance in Bridgeton, where she dedicated 50 years of Service. Through hard work and commitment, she eventually became the owner of the business. Inge was also deeply respected within the German community in Bridgeton, serving as a notary public and becoming the trusted “go-to” resource for many German families and friends throughout the area.
Inge and Horst shared a lifetime of love, adventure and travel together. Among their many journeys, Inge especially treasured their trips to the Caribbean islands.
She was predeceased by her parents, Nathaniel and Adeline (Schill) Isaak; her sisters-in-law, Beate Meyer and Monika Ossiboff; and her brothers-in-law, Helmut Ossiboff and John Vandenberg.
In addition to her devoted husband, Horst, Inge is survived by her sister Sally Isaak-Ettenhuber (Helmut) of Munich, Germany; her brother, Norbert Isaak of Fürth, Germany; her brothers-in-law, Klaus Lutter (Edith) and Gerd Lutter; her sisters-in-law, Ingrid Vandenberg and Ursula Barbeck (John); as well as several loving nieces and nephews.
Inge will be remembered for her kindness, dedication to her community, strong work ethic and unwavering devotion to her family and friends. Her legacy of compassion and service will live on in all who knew and loved her.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 16th at the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home, 1024 E. Landis Ave. Vineland, with Rev. Heather Sugden officiating. Family and friends may gather from 9:00 – 11:00 am. Following the service, Inge will be laid to rest in Siloam Cemetery, Vineland, NJ.
