Israel Torres, age 79 of Vineland, went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 11, 2014 at home, surrounded by his loving family. Israel was born in Orocovis, P.R. to the late Ciprian and Maria (Rivera) Torres and lived in Vineland the past 5 years. Prior to retirement, he was a self-employed farmer in Orocovis, P.R. for over 25 years. He enjoyed dominoes, playing pool, music and sharing time with his family especially his grandchildren. Survivors include his loving wife of 51 years- Haydee (Falcon) Torres of Vineland. 3 Sons, Ricardo Torres of Vineland, Miguel Torres (Samely) of St. Cloud, Fla. And Jose Torres (Yasmin) of Vineland. 7 Daughters, Ana L. Torres (Jaime) of Long Island, NY, Beatrice Torres (Nector) of Southbridge, Mass., Irmarilis Torres and Virginmina Torres, both of San Juan, P.R., Migdalia Torres of Phila., Pa., Maria D. Bonilla (Roberto) of Vineland and Isabel Torres (Ramon) of Gurabo, P.R. Also 4 Brothers, 8 Sisters, 26 Grandchildren, 10 Great-Grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral liturgy will be held Thursday, August 14th 2014 at 11:00 AM from Divine Mercy Parish 23 W. Chestnut Ave. Vineland with Father Manuel Valeriano officiating. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland. Viewing will be held Thursday 10:00-11:00 AM prior to the liturgy in the CHURCH.
