Ivan Ríos Salas, age 83 of Vineland, passed away peacefully on the morning of Saturday, June 10th at home, surrounded by his loving family and friends.

Born in Utuado, Puerto Rico, he was one of eight children, of Don Valentin Ríos and Doña Amelia Salas.

Ivan spent the first half of his life as a taxi driver and private chauffeur on the beautiful island of Puerto Rico. Known by his peers as "Manga", Ivan was a man who could make anyone laugh and lift their spirits. He later relocated to Vineland NJ, where he spent the last 24 years spending time with his children and two generations of grandchildren. An incredibly kind man and welcoming neighbor, he was highly regarded as a great friend by his fellow senior living residents. He spent his time with family, playing bingo, or religiously watching his favorite baseball team, the Philadelphia Phillies. He was known as a great friend and a welcoming neighbor.

He is survived by his brother Marcos, his loving wife Dominga (Cruz) his only daughter Maria, son-in-law Luis, and his three sons, Jorge, Robert and Rodney and daughter-in-law Sheila. Along with 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

Services will be held at the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral home 1024 E. Landis Ave. Vineland on Thursday, June 15th from 6pm - 8pm. All family, friends, and neighbors are welcome to attend.

In lieu of flowers, his wife requests a donation be made to St. Jude's hospital in memory of Ivan Ríos Salas.
