James Castiglia, age 82 of Buena, passed away on Monday, February 20, 2017 at Cooper Medical Center, Camden.

James was born in Vineland to the late Frank and Laura (Scarduzzio) Castiglia, and grew up in Richland before moving to Vineland.  Prior to his retirement, James worked as a painter with the Local Union #277 of Vineland for over 40 years.  He was a veteran of the US Navy and served in the Korean War.  James was a member of the Malaga Deer Club and enjoyed hunting, fishing and sharing time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

James was predeceased by his first wife Lillian Castiglia, his brothers; Anthony and Frank Castiglia and by his grandson David O'Brien.

James is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Carol (Corkhill) Castiglia of Buena.  His 2 daughters; Diane Biscoglio and husband Paul of Millville and Jo-Ann DeClement of Egg Harbor Township.  His 2 sons; Michael O'Brien and wife Cara of Summerville, Alabama and John O'Brien and wife Samantha of Galloway.  He is also survived by his 8 grandchildren; P.J., Justin, Joshua, Nicolas, Gianna, Mikayla, Erin and Sean.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, Feb. 27 ^th at 11:00 am at the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home, 1024 E. Landis Ave. Vineland.  Burial will be private.  Family and friends will be received on Monday from 10:00 – 11:00 am at the funeral Home.
