James "Jack" Labo, age 93 of Vineland, passed away after a brief illness on Friday, April 13, 2012 in Lincoln Specialty Care Center, Vineland. Born in Buena, N.J. he was a Vineland resident most of his life. Jack was a U.S. Navy Veteran and served in WWII, he also gave 30 years of service in the U.S. Navy Reserves. Prior to retirement, Jack worked for Hadsell Tractor Co. of Vineland for over 30 years as a mechanic. More recently he was a maintence man for 8 years with Comar Glass Co. Jack was a member of Divine Mercy Parish, Church of St. Francis. He enjoyed collecting antique stationary engines and playing pinochle and dominoes. Jack is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Violet (Vassalotti) Labo of Vineland. His son, Dennis Labo and companion Carol DeSanto of Vineland. His brother, John Labo of Buena and his sister-in-law Marlene Vassalotti and companion Anthony Mignone. Also by several nieces, nephews and cousins. Jack was predeceased by his sister Della Pinotti and husband Charles, 2 brothers Joseph Labo and wife Rena and Fred Labo and wife Sylvia. And his sister-in-law Mina Labo. The Funeral Liturgy will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at the Divine Mercy Parish, Church of St. Francis, 23 W. Chestnut Ave. Vineland. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Victories Cemetery, Landisville. Viewing will be from 9:00-10:00 am on Wednesday at the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home, 1024 E. Landis Ave. Vineland.
