Williams
August 20, 1984 – February 22, 2017
James R. Williams, age 32 of Port Norris (formerly of Leesburg) went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 22 nd 2017 in Cooper Medical Center, Camden.
James was born in Bridgeton to Kenneth and Cecilia (Stanley) Williams and lived in Port Norris the past year. He graduated with honors from Millville Sr. High School and later graduated Cumberland County College with an Associate Degree in Communications. James was employed by C.C.C. as their first public announcer for the college sports events, there he was known as the "Voice of the Dukes." Previously, James was the former public address announcer for the Atlantic City Surf baseball team and also a former freelance announcer at LIFT-FM and podcaster at Spectrum One.
James was predeceased by his father, Kenneth Williams.
James is survived by his mother, Cecilia (Stanley) Williams of Port Norris, two brothers, Michael Williams and Thomas "Coty" Williams, both of Port Norris. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.
A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, March 25 th 2017 at 6:00 PM at the Cumberland County College Gymnasium, College Drive, Vineland, NJ 08360
