Jean (Tuhy) Wisda, of Vineland passed away on November 28, 2012 at home with family. She was born in 1930 in Washington, DC and graduated from Dunbarton College in DC where she majored in classical music concentrating in voice. She was a member of Sacred Heart Parish in Vineland where she was active in the choir as a past director of the children's choir and also as a member of the adult choir. Jean was employed at the Vineland Developmental Center as a Special Education teacher and retired after completing 30 years of employment. While working at the Developmental Center Jean received a grant, which enabled her to complete her Master's Degree in Special Education. Jean leaves behind her loving husband of 59 years, John H. Wisda, of Vineland, retired Administrator of Elmer Hospital. Her sons; Martin Wisda, retired Army Lt. Colonel and high school history teacher and his wife, Vivian, of Clifton, Virginia; John Wisda, MD and his fiancé, Cindy Thomas, of Huntsville, Alabama. She also leaves behind her daughters; Jeanette Wisda Campanale, a physical education teacher and her husband, Marc of Hillsborough, NJ; and Catherine Wisda, MD and her husband Greg Stretch, of Vineland. Also surviving her are 6 grandchildren, Matthew and Alex Wisda, David and Stefanie Wisda and Kevin and Brian Campanale. Jean also leaves behind 3 sisters, Carol Ann and her husband, James Beard, Peggy and her husband Joseph Bowling and Kathleen Tuhy. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, December 7th at Christ the Good Shepherd Parish, Sacred Heart Church, 1010 E. Landis Ave. Vineland. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland. Family and friends may gather on Thursday evening from 7:00 - 9:00 pm at Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home, 1024 E. Landis Ave. Vineland, and on Friday morning from 9:30 - 10:30 am at the Church.
