Jeanelle Jiménez, age 36, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 3, 2015 at the Philadelphia Veterans Community Living Center. At the time of her passing she was surrounded by the love and comfort of her parents and sister. Jeanelle was born on May 18, 1979 to Blanca and Luis Jiménez in Hammonton, New Jersey. She is survived by her two loving children, Adrian Rodriguez and Jordan Leyva; her parents, Blanca and Luis Jiménez; her five siblings, Luis, Gilberto, Wally, Yamille and Roynell; ten nieces and nephews; along with numerous family and friends who were blessed to know her. Jeanelle took great pride in serving in the U.S. Army and won several awards for her military service. She was a long time resident of Houston, Texas where she was employed as a Registration Specialist at North Cypress Medical Center. Jeanelle is lovingly remembered by many of her colleagues and patients who have expressed that they will always treasure her compassion for others, contagious laughter, and radiant personality. Jeanelle was a member of the Living Word Church in Texas. Her strong religious faith and optimism guided her through the years she struggled with health issues. Jeanelle was a caring, loving, and dedicated mother. Her two children were the true loves of her life. Jeanelle was affectionately known as "Chinita." She enjoyed singing, dancing, and playing numerous musical instruments. She maintained her passion for music all the way to the end. She was a beacon of positivity and had a wonderful sense of humor. When asked how she was doing her response was always, "Fabulous!" Jeanelle touched the lives of many people with her beautiful smile and kindness. Jeanelle's love of life, joyful spirit, courage and strength will forever live on as a memory for those who cherished her love and friendship. She will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her. The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for our Chinita and showered her with love during her last few months. A memorial service with military honors will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at 11:30 AM at Emmanuel Bible Church, 75 Columbia Ave., Vineland, NJ.
