Jerry Zylberman, age 59 of Millville, passed away on Thursday January 16, 2014 at home. Jerry was the loving son to the late Leon and Bella Zylberman of Vineland, NJ. He was the adored brother to Sylvia Zinader of Millville, NJ and Phyllis Sterbakov of Brighton, MA. A loved uncle to Matthew Zinader of Collingswood, NJ, Eric Zinader of Orlando, FL, Brett Zinader of Philadelphia, PA and Briana Sterbakov of San Diego, CA. Jerry was born on November 24, 1954 with Down Syndrome and lived at home with his family throughout his life against the medical establishment recommendation during the 1950's to have him institutionalized for life. As a result, he blossomed into a loving social person who brought joy and gratitude to his family, caregivers and strangers. Funeral services will be held today, Jan. 17th at 2:00 pm at the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home, 1024 E. Landis Ave. Vineland, NJ with Rabbi Rapoport officiating.
