July 25, 1932 – February 6, 2016
Joanne H. Bramble (nee Downs) age 83, of Buena, formerly of Vineland, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 6, 2016 in Safety Harbor, Florida.
Joanne, daughter of Joseph and Helen Downs, was born in Philadelphia, PA., and lived her life in Woodbury, New Jersey with her Uncle John and Aunt Jesse Heery. Joanne was president of the Woodbury Junior Women's Club, a member of the Vineland YMCA, where she served as Tri Hi Y counselor and president of the Y's Men's and Women's Auxiliary. Joanne and her husband Charles were CCD teachers at Sacred Heart Church and were very active in the Marriage and Engaged Encounter. Joanne and Charles also owned the Bible Book Nook for 17 years—that venture was the love of her life! Joanne and Charles attended Chestnut Assembly of God for over 30 years. Joanne was one of the original members of the "Motley's" who still meet every Wednesday when they are in town.
Joanne is survived by her loving husband of 65 years Charles E. Bramble Sr. of Buena, her sister, Luan Snyder of St. Louis, MO., two daughters Joanne Stetson and her husband Charles of Woodbury, and Laura McCreery and husband Patrick of Tarpon Springs, Fla., and one son Charles E. "Chuck" Bramble Jr. and his wife Denise of Buena, NJ. Eleven grandchildren, Stephen, Sarah, Lindsay, Christine and Courtney Stetson, James, David and Andrew McCreery and Shane, Chaz and Alicia Bramble. And her great-granddaughter Aubree McCreery, many nieces and nephews, and cousins Barbara Burkhardt and Charles Downs. She was preceded in death by her father Joseph Downs, mother Helen (Kendall) Feese, and two sisters Charlotte Williams and Dolores Horne.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 12, 2016 at 10:00 AM from the Chestnut Assembly of God Church 2554 E. Chestnut Ave. Vineland, NJ 08361. Burial will follow in the Gloucester County Veterans Cemetery 240 N. Tuckahoe Rd. Williamstown, NJ 08094
Visitation hours are Thursday evening 7:00-9:00 PM and again on Friday 9:00-10:00 AM in the CHURCH.
