Joel A. Medina, age 29, of Millville, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 14, 2015. Joel was born in New Brunswick, NJ to Freddie and Elizabeth "Lisa" (Tejeras) Medina on October 10, 1985. He was a graduate of Millville Senior High School and the Cumberland County VoTech with a degree in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration. Joel was employed by Genesis Eldercare as a Certified Nurse's Aide for the last 3 years. He also worked as a car detailer for various dealerships in the area. Joel loved politics, history and wrestling, he was a joker and always had an infectious smile. Joel enjoyed cooking, going to the beach, riding his quad and playing on his family's softball team. Most important in Joel's life was his love for his family. Joel was predeceased by his maternal grandfather Frank Tejeras in 1998 and his paternal grandmother Julia Cuadra in 2014. Joel is survived by his loving parents, Freddie and Elizabeth "Lisa" (Tejeras) Medina of Millville. His sister, Diana E. Medina and the love of his heart, his niece, Alani J. Brown, both of Millville. He is also survived by his maternal grandmother Altita R. Tejeras of Vineland and paternal grandfather Hipolito Medina of Vega Baja, Puerto Rico, and by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. The funeral service for Joel will be held on Tuesday, May 19th at 8:00 pm with Rev. Juan Marquez officiating at the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home, 1024 E. Landis Ave. Vineland.
