Joseph J. DiSanto, age 77 of Vineland, passed away on Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at the Bishop McCarthy Residence, Vineland. Joseph was born in Philadelphia to the late Anthony and Margaret (Menna) DiSanto, he was a resident of Vineland for most of his life. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran, serving during both the Korean War and the Vietnam War. Prior to retirement, Joseph was a glass worker for Precision Electronic Glass in Vineland for over 30 years. He was a member of the Padre Pio Parish, Church of Our Lady of Pompeii of Vineland. Joseph enjoyed fishing, crabbing and going to the casinos. He is predeceased by his sister, Frances Franciosa and 2 brother-in-laws, Sam Franciosa and Daniel Cella. Joseph is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, May L. (Sinclair) DiSanto of Vineland. His son, Christopher DiSanto and wife Nancy of Vineland, and his daughter, Patricia Johnson of Vineland. 3 grandchildren; Blake Johnson of N.Y.C., NY, Sarah E. DiSanto and Kahla Johnson, both of Vineland. Also by 2 sisters, Grace Cella and Theresa Witherup and husband John, all of Philadelphia. And several nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home, 1024 E. Landis Ave. Vineland. Friends and family may gather from 1:00-2:00pm at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
