Juan "Joe" Echevarria, age 71 of Millville, formerly of Vineland, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at home surrounded by his loving family.
Joe was born in Lares, Puerto Rico, to the late Jacinto and America (Medina) Echevarria. He was a resident of Vineland for most of his life. Prior to his retirement, Joe worked for the Cumberland County Health Department for over 30 years. He was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies. Joe enjoyed golfing, the casinos, horse racing and walking his dog Big Boy. Whenever you would go by his house, Joe would be sitting on the porch our under the tree, talking with everyone passing by.

Joe is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Joan Echevarria. His 6 children; Juan Echevarria Jr. and his wife Linda of Texas. Alyssa and Ashley of Philadelphia, Joanie of Greenwich, Brian of Princeton, West Virginia and Michael of Millville. He also leaves to cherish his memory 9 grandchildren; Danielle of Texas, Xavier, Amaya, Tahley, Tyee, Antonio, Michael Jr., Sean and Brice. One brother Noel Echevarria and his wife Mildred (Acevedo) and 3 sisters; Sonia Guzman and her husband Hector, Brunilda Perez and her husband Juan and Idalia Velez and her husband Hector of Texas. Along with his nephew Reynaldo Pagan of Vineland and many nieces and nephews who he loved sharing time with.

The funeral service will be on Friday, August 2nd at 5:00 pm at the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home, 1024 E. Landis Ave. Vineland. Family and friends may gather from 4:00 – 6:00 pm. Interment will be private.
