Juan A. Ruiz, age 88 of Vineland, went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 16th 2017 in Bishop McCarthy Residence, Vineland.

Juan was born in Utuado, Puerto Rico to the late Francisco and Eugenia (Vega) Ruiz and lived in Vineland most of his life.  Prior to retirement, he was employed by the City of Chicago for 17 years.  Juan was a former member of St. James Baptist Church of Norma. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing pool.

Survivors include his loving wife of 58 years, Lelia (Tisdale) Ruiz of Vineland and his daughter, Tammie Tisdale of Chase City, Va.  Also 2 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and a host of siblings and extended family.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 21st 2017 at 11:00 AM, from the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home 1024 E. Landis Ave. Vineland, with Rev. Nelson Rosa officiating. Burial will be private.  Family and friends may gather one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
