It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our mother Judith (Dilks) Scarpa-Rader 85 who passed away peacefully on January 26, 2026 at her home after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Hammonton, NJ, November 30, 1940, she was the daughter of the late William Dilks and Marjorie (Steel) Dilks.  She was also preceded by her husband Earl Rader and her sister Marcia (Dilks) Speich.

She is survived by her daughter Wilma (Scarpa) Mesiano and husband John Ladota of Rosenhayn, her son Paul Scarpa of St. Louis, MO and sister Wilma (Dilks) Schaller of Lexington, KY and 2 nephews and their families.

Judith started her career as a Phlebotomist at Newcomb Hospital and was later employed by the late Dr. Frank DeMaio.  She took time off to raise her 2 children and then returned back to the hospital as an EKG/EEG tech.

She enjoyed painting and Sudoku puzzles.  In her earlier years, Judith enjoyed gardening and was fluent in playing the flute and piano.
