June (Cathro) Walko, age 86 of Vineland, passed away peacefully Friday, August 27, 2021.

June was born in New York City to the late Alexander and Jessie (Haige) Cathro and raised in Vineland. She was a graduate of Vineland High School Class of 1953. In January of 1954 she married William Walko, who she met in church at the age of 14.

June raised her children on the family farm and later worked at various glass factories in the Vineland area. Prior to her retirement at the age of 80, she worked at Little Lamb preschool; she cherished her time with the children and friends that turned into family along the way.

June was a classy lady with sparkling blue eyes and a captivating smile. She enjoyed trips to Ocean City in the summer, Lancaster in the fall, and seeing New York City for Christmas. She loved planting flowers, doing arts and crafts, but nothing was more important than spending time with her family.

June is survived by her daughter Deborah Petrosky; her grandchildren Sam Shuptrine (Casey), Nicole Palmer (Derek), Anthony Petrosky, Jessie Ryan (Mónica); one great grandchild, Desmond, and two more on the way. Also surviving is her sister Eunice Workman, niece Denise Workman, and son in law Tim Ryan.

She was predeceased by her daughter Dawn (Walko) Ryan, friend and former spouse William Walko, brother in law Kenneth Workman, and former son in law Anthony Petrosky.

Memorial services will be private for the family at a later date.
