Kathryn Elizabeth Bowden
April 2, 1967 – January 19, 2020

It is with great sadness that our family announces the death on January 19, 2020 of Kathryn Elizabeth Bowden, known as Kathy or Kat to her family and friends. Kathy was a very loving person who befriended everyone she met. As a child she loved our backyard swing, and would spend many peaceful moments sitting on it with a family member, just holding hands. She was caring and compassionate with her housemates and brought joy to her family and friends and those who cared for her and visited her where she lived at the house on Becker Drive in Vineland, New Jersey.

Kathy loved handbags, bracelets and necklaces, and was adept at creating beautiful images with her crayons and coloring books. The highlight of Kathy's days was her time spent at her job at Elwyn Industries, where she was cared for by a wonderful team and she was able to be part of the vibrant community at that facility. When not at her job, Kathy could always be counted on to ask for a trip to the local Wawa for a cup of coffee and a Diet Coke. Her love of her roommates and caregivers at Becker was evident – and she entertained everyone with her ability to call numbers on bingo night at the house.

Kathy is survived by her housemates and caregivers at Becker house, and her mother, Kathryn Bowden of Harwich Port, Mass., her father Larry Bowden and his wife Glenda of Des Moines, Iowa, her brother Joseph Bowden and his wife Pamela and their daughter Emma Bowden of Chatham, Mass., her uncle Thomas Mochen of Norridgewock, Maine, her aunt Elizabth Prescott and her fiancé Gordon Stone of Burlington, Ontario, Canada, her aunt Denise Bafti and her husband Bob of Malden, Mass., and her aunt Mary O'Donnell and her partner Tim Parsons of Harwich, Mass., along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
