Libero "Lee" C. Poggi, age 89 of Buena Vista Twp., passed away Wednesday, November 27th peacefully at home. Lee was born in West Frankfort, Illinois on September 2, 1924 to the late Joseph Poggi and Aldagisa (Cioni) Poggi Bucciotti and lived in Buena Vista Township most of his life. He was raised by his late step-father Bruno Bucciotti. Lee graduated from Vineland High School Class of 1942. Prior to retirement, he was a salesman for D.C. Angelo, Thomas Gregg & Co. and L.J. Zucca. Lee was co-owner with his wife Marie of Poggi's Ravioli and Tortellini Co. of Buena Vista Twp. He was an avid athlete playing baseball, bowling, golf and he enjoyed dancing. Lee was predeceased by his sister and brother-in-law, Lydia (Poggi) Iacovelli and her husband Tony. Survivors include his loving wife of 65 years, Marie (Prisinzano) Poggi and one son, Joseph Poggi and his wife Lori, and one daughter, Denise Shepherd and her husband David, all of Buena Vista Township. Three granddaughters, Brecken (Poggi) Pettit and husband Daniel of Franklin Twp., Kelly (Shepherd) Bradley and husband Jonathan of Vineland and Samantha Shepherd at home. Also survived by sister-in-law, Minnie Prisinzano of Vineland and many nephews and nieces. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 30th at 11:00 AM from the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home 1024 E. Landis Ave. Vineland. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland.
