Lola S. Cheney, age 93 of Vineland, went to be with the Lord, Monday, October 1st in S.J. HealthCare; RMC, Vineland. Lola was born in Vineland to the late Harry D. and Dora (Johnson) Schenck and was a lifelong Vineland resident. Lola was a graduate of Vineland High School Class of 1936, Graduate of Glassboro State Teachers College in 1940 and received her Master's degree at Glassboro State in 1957. Prior to retirement, Lola was teacher and Principal in the Vineland Public School System at Oak & Main and Park & East schools. Lola was a very active member of First Baptist Church of Vineland and member of Vineland Regional Consulting. She was member of the Commission for Missing and Abused Children and Human Services Advisory Council of Cumberland County. Lola was predeceased by her sister Adeline Broeren. Survivors include her daughter, Leola Cheney Rosati and her husband Robert of Stanford, CT. Two grandchildren, Rolland Rosati and Genee Rosati, both of Stanford, CT. Brother, Ruhl Schenck and his wife Anna May of Lansing, Mich. and brother-in-law, Peter Broeren of Vineland and also three nieces. Funeral services will be held 7:00 PM Thursday (tonight) from the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home 1024 E. Landis Ave. Vineland with Rev. Louis Spyes officiating. Inurnment in Siloam Cemetery will be held at a later date. Visitation will begin starting at 6:00 PM tonight. Donations in Lola's memory may be made to C.C.S.P.C.A. 1244 N.
