Lorraine (Adams) DiLeonardo, age 81, wife of the late Frank L. DiLeonardo, Sr.

Our beloved Lorraine passed away peacefully on May 14, 2017, after a long and brave battle with lung cancer.

Born in Riversville, West Virginia, Lorraine was raised in Malaga and Vineland, New Jersey.  She was the only child of the late Thomas and Rose (Spatafore) Adams.  A graduate of Vineland High School, class of 1952, Lorraine's first job was a clerk in the office of State Senator W. Howard Sharp, followed by copy writer positions for local radio stations WWBZ and WMVB.  Lorraine then became a dance instructor for Fred Astaire Dance Studios.  Thereafter, she found her niche and became a medical secretary to the late George P. Glenn, Jr., M.D. for 30 years.  Lorraine enjoyed music, dancing, knitting and crocheting, crossword puzzles, and spending time with her beloved children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her three sons, Frank, Jr. (Janet Dousmanis) of Chicago, Illinois, Thomas (Leda) of Arlington, Virginia, and David (Christy) of Vineland, New Jersey, her five grandchildren, Michael and Vincent, David, Ava and Gia, whom she absolutely adored, along with many cousins.

Lorraine and her family would like to acknowledge the extraordinary services of Heartland Hospice, Kush Sachdeva, M.D. and George Dendrinos, M.D. for their exceptional care and kindness during her battle with cancer.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, May 19 ^th at 11:00 am at the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home, 1024 E. Landis Ave. Vineland, with Rev. Dr. Charles Gates officiating.  Entombment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Garden Mausoleum.  Family and friends are invited to gather on Thursday evening from 7:00 – 9:00 pm and again on Friday morning from 10:00 – 11:00 am at the funeral home.
