Whetsel, Louise Ann – born on March 31, 1939 in Germantown, Pennsylvania was escorted by angels to heaven on September 3, 2023. Louise attended school in the Philadelphia area and met her future husband, on the sands of the Ocean City beach. After dating for three years the young couple married on October 12, 1955, in Flourtown, PA. Louise resided in Vineland for almost all of her 84 years.

Louise was a Certified Nursing Assistant and worked for both Newcomb Hospital and Inspira Medical Center for 38 years assisting countless patients and making lifelong friends.

Louise leaves behind daughters Claire Sinclair and Donna Whetsel (Lenny), brother Jay (Loretta) Crumbie and daughters and families, Genevieve, Heather, and Dawn and Dr. Adib Barsoum and his sons and families Mark (Maryanne), Gregory (Janice), and Paul. Louise also had two grandchildren, Sarah (Tom) Young and their children Natalie, Benjamin, and Noah, and Chris Krushinski.

Louise was predeceased by her husband of more than 50 years, Jim, her son Gary, parents Helen and George Crumbie, and sister Joy Barsoum.

Louise enjoyed cooking, gardening, shopping, visiting with friends from her years at the hospital and others, going to the YMCA to exercise (she really enjoyed the gals there), and keeping her home maintained. She will be missed by all who knew her.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. from the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home, 1024 E. Landis Ave. Vineland. Friends and relatives may gather one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Inurnment will follow at Siloam Cemetery. A reception will also be held following the funeral. Details will be provided.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the South Jersey Regional Animal Shelter.
