Luis Matos, age 70 of Vineland, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at Inspira Medical Center, Mullica Hill, NJ.

Born on June 23, 1951 in Utuado, Puerto Rico to the late

Luis was born on June 23,1951 in Utuado, Puerto Rico to the late Luis Matos and Carmen Maria Rosario. Prior to his retirement, Luis was employed by the NJ Veterans Memorial Home in Vineland where he worked in the maintenance department for approximately 20 years. He loved to read and listen to old time music and sing. Luis had a beloved pet named Yoshi and enjoyed taking him for walks in the park.

He is survived by his wife Juana Matos and by his son Luis Matos Jr. Luis was loved by his siblings, Zoraida Crespo and husband Israel Crespo, Carmen Ana Gonzalez, Yolanda Gonzalez and husband Manuel Gonzalez, Israel Matos and wife Enieda Matos, and Blanca Matos.

He was predeceased by his sister Alicia Velez Matos.

Funeral arrangements were in the care of Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home, Vineland.
