Luz Vazquez, 78, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on March 21, 2024.

Luz is survived by her loving children, Daniel Vazquez, Vivian Vazquez, Carlos (Kelly) Vazquez, and Beatrice (Rick) Vazquez.  She is also survived by her grandchildren, Samir Alfaro, Tina Marrero, Josh Vazquez, and Annie (Xavier) Rodriguez, a great granddaughter, Marceline Alfaro, and her brothers, Eddie Diaz of Florida, Jaimie Diaz of Puerto Rico, Papo Morales of Puerto Rico, and Felix Montalvo of Vineland.

She was predeceased by her husband, Amado Vazquez, her brothers, Jose Diaz of Puerto Rico and Tito Colon of Chicago, and her mother, Providencia Colon.

Born in Utuado, Puerto Rico, she later moved to Vineland where she was a resident for over 45 years.  She worked for Newcomb Hospital, which later became Inspira, for over 20 years before she retired.  Luz enjoyed fishing, nature, gardening, artwork, and spending time with her family, including her precious cats.

Family and friends may gather for a viewing on Saturday, March 30th from 3pm to 5pm.  A funeral service will be held at 5pm.  All services will take place at Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home at 1024 E. Landis Ave., Vineland. Burial will be private.
