Lydia J. Hampton of Mays Landing, NJ passed away peacefully at the age of 60 on July 2, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.

Lydia was born October 18, 1963, in Somers Point, NJ and raised by her parents, the late Amy and John Pinkney. She graduated from Oakcrest High School in 1983. Lydia was a devoted employee and worked in public areas for Bally's Casino for 40 years. Her hard work did not end there, she and her husband Taylor owned a cleaning business for more than 30 years. She loved to spend money and loved to have parties and buy things for her grandkids. Lydia could not pass by a thrift store. She loved jewelry and loved to look and smell good. She laughed at everything, and everyone laughed with her. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend.

Lydia was predeceased by her husband of 30 years, Taylor Hampton of McCormick, SC, her parents Amy and John Pinkney of Mays Landing, NJ, brothers; John Pinkney Jr. of Washington, DC, Cedric Clybourn of Mays Landing, NJ, sister; Lila Gray of Mays Landing, NJ.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her sons; Arthur White and wife Dawn of Kentucky, Joseph White and wife Zaquetta of Atlantic City, NJ and her daughter; Tamika White of Vineland, NJ, sisters; Rev. Amy Santiago of Mays Landing, NJ, Valerie Clybourn of Philadelphia, PA, Yvonne Brevard of Mays Landing, NJ, brothers; Julian Clybourn of Florida and Shane Clybourn of Fort Wayne, Indiana. Her grandchildren; Shamar White of Vineland, NJ, Arthur, Angel, and Ollie White of Kentucky, and Zariya White of Atlantic City, NJ. Her in-laws; Theodore Hampton and wife Lola of Arkansas, Hassie Elizabeth Henderson of Raleigh, NC and Emma Ruth Reynolds of Ninety-Six, SC. Along with an abundance of family friends.

Please join us in honoring her memory on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home, 1024 E. Landis Ave. Vineland. The viewing from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Services from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Lydia will be laid to rest at Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery, Mays Landing, NJ.
