IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Madeline
Oertle
June 27, 1941 – February 24, 2026
Madeline Oertle, age 84, of Vineland, New Jersey, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born in Rosenhayn, New Jersey, Madeline was raised by the late Angeline (Lamanteer) and Bruno Bertucci. She spent most of her adult life in Cedarville before moving to Vineland in 2001. A graduate of Bridgeton High School Class of 1959, Madeline carried with her the values of hard work, kindness, and devotion that would define her life.
For 29 years, she served as a teacher's aide at Myron L. Powell Elementary School in Cedarville. There, she found great joy in helping to shape young minds, offering patience, encouragement, and a warm smile to generations of children. Her gentle spirit and caring heart left a lasting impression on students and colleagues alike.
Madeline found happiness in life's simple blessings—planting flowers each spring, feeding and watching the birds that gathered near her home, and enjoying her weekly trips to the casino. Yet above all else, her greatest joy was her family. She cherished every moment spent with her children and grandchildren, treasuring holidays, laughter-filled gatherings, and the everyday conversations that meant the most.
She was predeceased by her sister, Theresa Macrine and her husband Frank, and by her two brothers, Veto Bertucci and Vincent Bertucci.
Madeline is survived by her beloved husband of 65 years, Frank Oertle, whose love and partnership were the foundation of her life. She is also survived by her loving children, Frank Oertle III and his wife Staci, and Angela Andreoli, all of Vineland; and by her treasured grandchildren, Frank Oertle IV and his wife Emma of Philadelphia, and Brianna Vit and her husband Bobby of Rosenhayn. Her legacy of love, faith, and family will continue to live on in each of them.
Funeral services will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Madeline's memory may be made to Angelic Hospice, 8025 Black Horse Pike, Suite 501, West Atlantic City, NJ 08232.
Condolences may be shared with the family at www.wbfuneralhome.com
Arrangements are in the care of Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home, Vineland, NJ.
