Malva V. Anavitarte, resident of Vineland for 59 years, passed away at the age of 95 on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at her home.

Malva was born in Santiago, Dominican Republic to the late Herminio Luna and Rosa Saltar. Prior to retirement, she was an excellent seamstress until she went back to school to receive her Bachelor's Degree Magna Cum Laude in Theology and A.A. in Social Work. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church of Vineland. Malva walked many miles every day, she loved to read and sing. She taught herself to speak French and was an excellent cook. Malva was knowledgeable about natural remedies but her passion was to teach the Bible and preach about the gospel and the second coming of Jesus.

Survivors include her 3 loving children, Cynthia Mejia of North Carolina, Ronald Mejia and his wife Stephanie of Vineland and David Anavitarte and his wife Kathy of Texas. Along with 3 grandchildren, Danyne Perez-Znack, Donielle Halvorson (William) and Devin Anavitarte. Also one great-granddaughter, Katelynne.

Memorial services will be held Saturday October 1st at 7pm at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, 765 S. 6 ^th Street, Vineland, with Pastor Ever Gonzalez officiating. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Malva's memory may be made to the church.
