- Margaret "Peggy" (Picconi) Kempa Beaney
Peggy would like you to know that on Aug. 30, 2018 she heard her Creator's call to join the Heavenly Choir. In her new forever Heavenly home she is Singing and Dancing once again. Her years here as a loving companion, wife, mother, grandmother, nana (great-grandmother), aunt and friend have ended. Her new journey has begun. She will be remembered for her giving personality, her love of music, her joy in taking care of everyone she knew, her love for her children and family, and especially her excitement in Skyping with her great-grandchildren to play "hangman" and "tic-tac-toe" before school in the mornings!
Although she is gone, she would like you to know she was greeted by the Heavenly Choir and by those who predeceased her; her parents Margaret (Lovegrove) Seaving and Rudy Picconi, her husbands Earle W. Kempa and Albert P. Beaney, her brother Buddy Picconi and sister Gloria (Picconi) Duffy, her sons Kevin Kempa and David Beaney, her Sister-in Law Alyce Labriola, and Brother-in-Law Russell Kempa, her Granddaughter Jodi Paterno and, nieces and nephews.
Peggy was born on March 5, 1929 in Green Island, NY. Her family later moved to Vineland where she remained and raised her own family. Upon her retirement in 1991, she moved to Lakeland Florida. As a young teen she sang with a local band, danced, and waitressed. After marriage, she was a homemaker, saleswoman for Robert Hall Clothes, owner and operator of her own in-home Day Care Center and she ended her working career as a Teacher's Aide for the Vineland Board of Education. Peggy is a member of the First United Methodist Church, Vineland.
Peggy is survived by her companion Larry Helfer (Lakeland, FL), her children; "Cindy" (Kempa) Paterno & husband Robert, and Jeffrey Kempa & wife Barbara.
Her grandchildren: Devon Kempa, David Kempa, Derek Paterno/Lori Paterno, Kari (Paterno) Jordan/Corey, Charlene (Kempa) Verderose, Kristopher Kempa and Jeremy Kempa.
Her great-grandchildren: Gabriel Paterno, Lucas Paterno, Nathaniel Jordan, Erinn Jordan, and Avari Jordan.
Peggy also had many "non-blood" relatives who called her Mom, Grandmom, Aunt and Nana!
A Memorial Celebration will be held for all relatives and friends on Sunday September 30, 2018 from 2:00-3:00 at the First United Methodist Church of Vineland, 700 E. Landis Ave, Vineland, NJ. Her burial will be private.
