Margarita (Torres) Benitez, age 74 of Vineland, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at home surrounded by her loving family.

Margarita was born in Yabucoa, Puerto Rico to the late Bacilio and Fabiana (Collazo) Torres and was a resident of Vineland most of her life.  She was a homemaker and member of the Divine Mercy Parish of Vineland.  Margarita enjoyed cooking, gardening and sharing time with her grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband Francisco Delgado Benitez in August, 2015.

Margarita is survived by her 4 devoted children, 3 sons; Samuel F. Benitez, Rey F. Benitez, both of Vineland and Luis O. Benitez of Dayton, Ohio, and her daughter Mary I. (Benitez) Cruz and husband David of Yabucoa, P.R.  She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 7 sisters, 2 brothers and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

The funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, Nov. 21st at the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home, 1024 E. Landis Ave. Vineland.  Burial will be private.  A viewing will be held on Friday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
