IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Margarita
Moran
April 9, 1958 – March 8, 2018
Margarita (Aponte) Moran was reunited with her parents Josefa and Domingo Aponte and her brothers Jose and Alphonso Aponte in Eternal Heaven on March 8, 2018. We are confident her work for the Lord was complete and she is receiving her rewards.
Margarita was born on April 9, 1958 in New York City. She graduated from Vineland High School and Glassboro State College (Rowan College). She also received a degree from Monroe College in business administration. She met her soul mate Rafael Moran in 1977 and later married. Together they raised their son Chief Jayson Rene Moran, US Coast Guard (Sarina). She was always proud of his accomplishments but not greater than the joy he gave them with their grandchildren Ayana, Ayanna, Liani and Jayson Jr.
Margarita will be missed by many. Margarita leaves behind a large family consisting of her loving siblings Rafael Aponte(Felipa) , Enilda Santos (Carlos), Justina Aponte, Domingo Aponte Jr, Jay Aponte(Sonia), many nieces, nephews and cousins. Together we will cherish her memories and carry on her legacy of charity. She will also be remembered by countless brothers and sisters in Christ throughout the Camden Diocese including her beloved staff at Divine Mercy Parish.
During her earlier career years, Margarita was a National Sales Executive for a major pharmaceutical company. Margarita found her true calling working in her parish community. She completed a certification in Parish Life Ministries at the College of Saint Elizabeth. The first director of Pope John Paul Retreat Center, Margarita took on the roll as her personal ministry. She recruited many hands to turn it into a full service retreat facility for those in search of personal reflection and God's words. Later, she humbly took on the roll of Business Administrator for the parish. Margarita's love for God was evident in everything she did. Margarita will be remembered for her dedication and tireless work in creating a vibrant community for her beloved Divine Mercy Parish. She brought many closer to God with her smile, hugs and song. Her strength to battle cancer countless times never ceased to amaze all who adored her. She was often the source of strength for her loved ones. Bob Marley, Three Little Birds "Every little thing is gonna be alright" was her go to song in times of trouble.
Celebration of Life services and viewing will be held at Divine Mercy Parish, 23 W. Chestnut Ave. Vineland, on Tuesday March 13, 2018 from 6pm to 9pm and Wednesday March 14, 2018 from 9am to 10:45. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11am with entombment to follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland.
