Maria "Gloria" J. Escobar, age 90 of Vineland, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at Inspira Medical Center, Vineland.

Born in Utuado, Puerto Rico, Gloria moved to Vineland in 1952 and worked for DeRossi Clothing for over 20 years.  She was a member of Bethel Spanish Presbyterian Church of Vineland and enjoyed cooking and sharing time with her family.

Gloria was predeceased by her husband Merquiades Escobar and by her son Rolando Escobar.

Gloria is survived by her 2 sons; Will J. Escobar (Paul H. Langley) of Boston and Rene Escobar (Itza) of Mississippi and by her daughter Gladys Quinones of Vineland. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Gloria's life will be held on Saturday May 27, 2017 at 6:00 pm at the Bethel Spanish Presbyterian Church, 4th and Almond St. Vineland, with Rev. Freddy Jara officiating.
