Maria Meremianin, age 89, of Vineland passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2026 at home, surrounded by her loving family. Maria was born in Novi-Sad, Serbia to the late Boris and Anastasia (Novick) Sokolov and she lived in Vineland most of her life.

Prior to retirement, Maria was employed by Owens-Illinois, Kimble Glass Co. as a scientific glass packer for over 40 years. She was a member of the Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox Church of Vineland.

Family was most important to her and she loved spending time and traveling with her children and grandchildren.

Maria was predeceased by her husband George Meremianin in 2018.

Survivors include her two sons, Walter Meremianin and his wife Beth Ann of Vineland and Nicholas Meremianin and his wife Maria of Cherry Hill. Also her three grandchildren, Alexander (Megan), Andrew (Kayla) and Anastasia.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at 10:00 AM from the Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox Church 2211 W. Landis Ave. Vineland with Father Liubo Milosevic officiating. Family and friends may gather in the church from 9:30-10:00 AM on Wednesday. Afterwards, Maria will be laid to rest next to her late husband in Siloam Cemetery, Vineland.
