Maria Elena Rivera, age 82 of Vineland went to be with the Lord on Friday, September 27th in Inspira Medical Center, Vineland. Maria was born in Utuado, Puerto Rico to the late Marcial and Rosa (Marti) Arce and lived in Vineland most of her life. She was a homemaker. Maria loved her flower garden and cooking for family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Survivors include her loving husband of 58 years, Anibal Rivera of Vineland, son, Luis A. Rivera and his companion Beverly Bennett of Fairton,NJ and daughter, Frances Morales and her husband Jimmy of Pennsauken, NJ. Brother, Eladio Arce and his wife Carmen of Port St. Lucie, Fla., 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Maria was predeceased by her son, Rene Rivera and grandson, William Acosta. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 2nd at 11:00 AM from the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home 1024 E. Landis Ave. Vineland. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland. Family and friends may gather from 9:00-11:00 AM at the funeral home prior to the services.
